Who we are
Our website address is https://www.mackanized.eu. The site is run by CMS DriveTech AB, organisation number 559445-1352, Sweden.
Contact form
When you send the contact form we receive your name, email address, subject and message by email, and use them only to answer you. Messages are deleted within 12 months after your enquiry has been handled.
To detect and block spam and misuse, each message also includes technical details about the sender: IP address, browser (user agent), browser language, the page the form was sent from and the time. These details are kept together with the message and deleted with it.
The form also uses a signed time check and a small calculation in your browser. To limit the number of messages per connection we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours. Rejected submissions are logged with time, reason, IP address and browser (never the message itself), and the log is kept for at most 12 months.
VIN and registration number lookup
On our VIN lookup page you can enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) or a Swedish registration number to see what our data says about the car. Every search is logged with the time, your IP address, what you searched for, the result and your browser. We use this to see how the service is used and to enforce the limit on how many searches one connection may make. The log is kept for 12 months and is not shared with anyone.
The vehicle data comes from the Swedish vehicle register, which is public information held by the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) and available to anyone who requests it. Our copy is a snapshot holding the registration number, VIN, model description, colour and horsepower. It contains no names, addresses or other owner details, and we cannot look those up.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking. If a form submission fails, your browser keeps a temporary copy of what you typed (session storage) so you do not have to type it again; it is deleted when you close the tab.
Fonts
All fonts are served from our own website. Your browser does not contact any font service such as Google Fonts.
Hosting
The site is hosted by one.com, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) to run the service and protect it against misuse.
Links to other websites
Posts and reseller pages link to other websites, such as Facebook, Instagram and forums. Those websites have their own privacy policies and may collect data about you when you visit them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to erase it. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. Use the contact page to reach us.
You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
