🔍 What is Trionic 7?
Trionic 7 is Saab’s in-house developed engine control unit used in the following engines:
Saab 9-3 (OG) 1998–2003
- B205E / B205L / B205R (2000–2003)
- B235R (2.3T Viggen)
Saab 9-5 1998–2010
- B205E / B205L (2.0T)
- B235E / B235L / B235R (2.3T)
The T7 ECU uses a unique blend of boost pressure, ignition timing, and knock adaptation to continuously optimize engine performance in real-time—adapting to fuel quality, load, and temperature.

✅ Stage 1 – Stock Hardware
- +30–50 hp and +70–100 Nm torque depending on engine
- Supports 98-octane or E85 flex-fuel (if equipped)
- Faster spool, improved throttle response
- No hardware modifications required
✅ Stage 2 – Intercooler
- Calibrated for an upgraded intercooler to sustain power on warm days
- ~260–280 hp on B235R engines
✅ Stage 3+ – Turbo & Fuel Upgrades
- Upgraded turbocharger, TD04HL-19T.
- Full exhaust
- Bosch/Deka high flow fuel injectors.
- Intercooler.
- Fuel pump if needed.

- When time permits we do custom stages up to 500+ hp.
